As a result of inclement weather and road conditions, Martinsville ISD will not have classes tomorrow, Tuesday January 16, 2024. All after school activities, including basketball games will be postponed as well. The regular Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for tonight will be postponed to a later date. We will continue to monitor conditions to make a decision for Wednesday and will release that as soon as possible.

Parents and Community: Martinsville ISD is aware of the possibility of inclement weather January 15th through the 17th. We have been made aware of a bomb threat email that has been sent to many school districts across the state of Texas. Authorities, including the FBI, are involved and investigating the threats. NO specific school has been named as a target and NO credibility has been given at this current time. The safety of our staff and students is our highest priority. As the ongoing investigation continues, we will keep you updated.

UIL Elementary and Jr. High Reminder UIL for elementary and jr. high will be Friday, December 8th, at Slocum ISD. Students may be dropped off starting at 6:30 a.m. The buses will depart from Martinsville at promptly 7:00 a.m. Please don’t be late. The majority of students will be back by 3:25 p.m. for regular scheduled release time. However, there will be a later bus that will not be back until approximately 4:45-5:00 p.m. This information was on your child’s permission slip. If your child has a speaking event, please dress in Sunday best with no Martinsville logos. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher. She be competing in Greenhand Creed Speaking against the top schools ranging from 1A to 6A from across the state! Maddy we are so very proud of you! Let's wish her good luck and safe travels!
