📢 Pre-K & Kindergarten Round-Up – 2026–2027 School Year
Martinsville ISD will be holding Pre-K & Kindergarten Round-Up for the 2026–2027 school year starting Wednesday, March 18 through March 31. This will be for any new to the district Kindergarten students.
Parents/guardians may stop by the Administrative Office to complete registration and submit the required documentation.
Required Documentation includes:
-Proof of Residence
-Child's Immunization Records
-Birth Certificate
-Social Security Card

Join us Thursday, March 5th from 5–7 PM in the Collegiate Center for a special FAFSA Night!
We’ll have a representative from Stephen F. Austin State University on-site to help answer questions and guide you through the FAFSA process.

🏀 Congratulations to the Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Players of the Week for Martinsville High School: Guillermo Gomez & Dallas McDonald! 🏀
🔥 Guillermo Gomez, a sophomore guard, continues to do a little bit of everything for his team. He can score the basketball, rebound at a high level for his position, and does a great job getting his teammates involved by playing unselfishly.
What really stands out about Guillermo is his energy. He plays with a high motor every possession and brings intensity on both ends of the floor. Defensively, he takes pride in guarding the other team’s best players and competing every trip down the court. His all-around game and team-first mentality make him a key piece of what Martinsville is building. His effort, toughness, and leadership by example don’t go unnoticed.
🔥 Dallas McDonald, a freshman, had an offensive explosion Tuesday against Wells that propelled the team to a much-needed win and forced a play-in game. She has been such a joy to watch grow throughout her freshman season, and her confidence continues to shine each time she steps on the court.
👏 Keep up the great work, Pirates! We are cheering you on! 📣🏀 These awards were presented by agent Jody Brown Engle.

Rebecca “Becca” Adams, senior shooting guard, has been a major offensive threat from beyond the arc this season 💪 She’s always ready to step up — whether coming off the bench or in the starting lineup — and recently knocked down 4 three-pointers to help lead her team. Her team-first attitude and willingness to do whatever is needed have made her a key part of this year’s success! 🎯
Terry Smith, freshman forward, continues to make a strong impact with his effort, awareness, and physical presence on the floor. He does a great job battling inside, rebounding, and creating extra possessions with his toughness and high motor. Terry is always in the right spot, plays hard every possession, and brings consistent energy on both ends of the court, making him an important part of the team’s success. 🌟
